FROM THE COAST TO THE HIGHLANDS, BULATS IS PRESENT IN THE ANDEAN REGION
Only in Peru 6,500 apprentices from SENATI took BULATS in the first half
of 2012

From May to July 2012, more than 6,500 apprentices in different
cities of Peru had the chance to sit BULATS as the final step of a very intense
English course of 252 hours they compulsory must follow during their first
semester of their career-studies.
BULATS, in the on-line version, was chosen for many
reasons, being the among the most important ones those related to accuracy of
results and flexibility of its administration. In addition, BULATS recognition is in
permanent growth. This fact may become a
great value-added for that when these apprentices go to the labor market, they
will have an advantage: they know English and they will have a certificate that
proves so.
According to ISABEL TABJA, National Coordinator of Foreign
Languages at SENATI, having a BULATS certificate may be a factor that will lead
many of these young men and women to a better future, full of opportunities. For instance, being Abancay one of the most
poor cities in the country, it was precisely there were the best results were
obtained. Students from Abancay reached
the following levels: 28% level A2 (Basic), 64% level B1 (intermediate) and 5%
level B2 (Intermediate High) .
ISABEL TABJA forecasts that by the end of the year,
there will be at least more 5000 of young students that will have sit the exam.
